School Safety

While I am unable to share the details of our Crisis Plan I think it is important that parents know we do have one and we practice it.  Active Shooter seems to be at the forefront of everyone's mind when we say Crisis Plan but know that it is more comprehensive than that.  It includes evacuations, shelter in place, as well as plans of action for death's in the community and other events that may affect the school.

Things I am able to share:

All exterior doors are locked during the day with the only exception being at morning arrival when faculty and staff members greet visitors at the entrance. Staff make rounds throughout the day to check exterior doors and low usage areas of the campus.

Interior classroom doors are locked throughout the day.

Church doors are secured during student masses and administrators supervise exterior doors.

The campus is equipped with a video surveillance system, perimeter fencing, classroom telephones, and 2-way radios for non-classroom staff .

We readily receive communication from both Capital Police and JCPD when there are events in proximity to us that could possibly create safety or access issues for us.

Most importantly we have a well trained and diligent staff that puts the welfare of our students first, but constantly assessing our safety needs and contacting appropriate personnel to address or update our protocols.
